Welcome to Mystic Highlands Adventures! These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of our website and the purchase of our tours and experiences.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website and/or purchasing our tours and experiences, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you must not use our website or services.

2. Bookings and Payments

All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation. To secure a booking, a deposit of 25% of the total tour cost is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the tour departure date. We accept payments via credit card, debit card, and bank transfer. Upon booking, you will receive a confirmation email from our booking manager, Ailsa MacLeod, confirming your tour details.

3. Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your booking, the following cancellation fees will apply:

Mystic Highlands Adventures reserves the right to cancel a tour due to unforeseen circumstances, such as adverse weather conditions or insufficient bookings. In such cases, you will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule your tour. We highly recommend travel insurance that covers cancellations.

4. Liability

Mystic Highlands Adventures is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage to personal property during our tours and experiences. Participants are responsible for their own safety and well-being. We strongly recommend that participants have adequate travel insurance to cover any potential risks. Our guides, including seasoned mountaineer Euan Campbell, are highly trained in safety procedures, but participants must heed their instructions at all times.

We take every precaution to ensure your safety and enjoyment. However, engaging in outdoor activities in the Scottish Highlands inherently carries some risks. By participating in our tours, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

5. Acceptable Use

You must not use this website or our services for any unlawful purpose. You must not attempt to disrupt the operation of our website or interfere with other users' access. You agree not to post or transmit any offensive, defamatory, or inappropriate content on our website or social media channels. Any violation of this clause will result in immediate termination of your access to our website and services, and potential legal action.

The content of this website, including text, images, and logos, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any content from this website without our prior written consent. The images of Eilean Donan Castle, for example, are used with permission from Scottish Heritage Images.

Mystic Highlands Adventures reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. 12. Tour Specific Conditions

Certain tours may have specific conditions related to age restrictions, physical fitness requirements, and required equipment. These conditions will be clearly stated on the tour description page and must be adhered to. For example, our "Conquering Ben Nevis" tour requires a high level of physical fitness and appropriate hiking gear. Participants for the "Whisky Trail Adventure" must be at least 18 years old.

13. Force Majeure

Mystic Highlands Adventures shall not be liable for any failure to perform our obligations under these terms and conditions if such failure is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, riots, fire, flood, storm, or other natural disasters. We will make every effort to mitigate the impact of such events and keep you informed.

14. Complaints Procedure

If you have any complaints about our services, please contact us in writing at complaints@mystichighlandsadventures.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may refer your complaint to an independent arbitration service.
